LearningTimes Selected [Teleplace] to Provide Easy to Use, Powerful 3D Meeting Places
NEW YORK (Virtual Worlds Conference 2008, Booth #61) – April 3, 2008 – Teleplace, Inc., the creators of virtual workspaces for the enterprise, today announced that LearningTimes has selected [Teleplace] to provide secure, 3D virtual meeting places for online conferences, trainings and other events. LearningTimes, which produces online conferences, communities, events and webcasts, selected [Teleplace] because of the product's ability to easily and efficiently provide online virtual meeting places where people can enter, collaborate, learn and network.
LearningTimes, whose clients include major education institutions, nonprofits and corporate trainers, used [Teleplace] within the Illinois Online Conference for Teaching and Learning (IOC), which was held February 13 to 15. In addition to using [Teleplace] as an alternative to virtual classrooms, LearningTimes has begun pilot programs with library, museum, and public education institutions, and plans to host an entire online conference in [Teleplace] later this year.
"We've experimented with virtual technologies for more than two years. We selected [Teleplace] for real-time collaboration, learning and networking because of its flexibility, scalability and ease of use," said John Walber, CEO of LearningTimes. "It's not only a great teaching and meeting tool, but we can train people and get them up and running and working in a [Teleplace] in about five minutes."
